Climate Emergency Task Group: End of year report 2025-6

The Climate Emergency Task Group help the profession to tackle climate breakdown. The Groups 2021 report reviews the group’s activities through the year.

The Engineering Leadership Group has undertaken a review of the Institution’s Future of the Profession outputs. The purpose was to reassess whether previous technical priorities remain valid and to identify the key technical and strategic focus areas needed for structural engineers and the Institution over the next five years which were identified as AI and Data, resilience and systems thinking, MMC, climate action, evolving technical competence, and broader influence and horizons.

This report highlights the climate action progress made by the Institution in 2023.
