This lecture explored the destructive impact of the MW 6.8 earthquake on 8 September 2023 and examined the resulting landslides and their effects on building damage, typologies, and distribution, as documented during the EEFIT mission in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains.

The presentation addressed various aspects, including the seismotectonic considerations of the Mw 6.8 earthquake on September 8, 2023, the mission's data collection efforts, the teams and their itinerary, landslide assessments through remote sensing, large-scale structural evaluations via remote sensing, and detailed structural assessments of traditional houses, mixed constructions, reinforced concrete buildings, and other non-residential structures.
