These sessions examine modern approaches to repair, maintenance, and intervention planning, providing practical insight into condition assessment, prioritisation, and service‑life management.
Purchasing this series will grant you access to both webinars in the series:
Coastal and waterfront session
Chaired by Nick Ely, Will Evans and Tristan Banks demonstrate how engineers apply service‑life assessment principles to seawalls, jetties, marinas, and other public facing coastal structures. They provide insight into planning and delivering life extending repair works for coastal assets.
Offshore session
Chinwe Odili and Bryan Horton examined how service life assessment principles are applied to offshore assets such as oil and gas platforms, steel jacket structures, and offshore renewable energy installations in this session. With Matt Byatt as chair, they presented the unique challenges of off-shore structures and the importance of evaluating and managing structural risk.
Together both sessions highlight how common assessment and decision‑making principles are applied across different marine environments and will offer a broader perspective for engineers working across, or moving between, sectors.
