A technical talk on using bamboo as a structural material.

Since his undergraduate days, David has been exploring bamboo connections. In this talk he shares his findings and insights, as well as the outcome of his latest work on the subject.
 
Attendees will gain both a deeper technical understanding and an appreciation of the broader implications of using bamboo as a structural material.
 
This talk will be of interest to researchers, engineers, architects, and anyone engaged in sustainable design and material innovation.

David Trujillo Assistant Professor University of Warwick
For over a quarter of a century, David has been researching, teaching, designing, and writing about bamboo structures. He co-authored the recent IStructE manual on structural design with bamboo, and co-led the development of several international bamboo design codes and standards, including three ISO standards
