Come along and meet the IStructE President, Tanya de Hoog, and a talk by Pierre Grigorian and Hadleigh Hobbs.

After a short presentation by the President, Tanya de Hoog, there will be a talk by Pierre Grigorian and Hadleigh Hobbs.

In November 2021, Pierre and Hadleigh  both of Wellspring, gave a presentation on low embodied carbon and how they were embarking on their own residential developments with the lofty aim of "changing construction".

This follow on presentation looks at how they have got on, how subsequent developments have progressed and whether they have managed to "change construction" yet.

The presentation looks at all aspects of sustainable construction, including the use of Hempcrete and other innovations. The speakers will describe what has worked and what has not worked, plus they will look at what the future may hold in all these areas.

Whilst there are technical aspects touched on within the talk, the presentation will look at all aspects of the work and not just the structural ones.

For this reason, the talk is open to all and not just IStructE members. All those involved in design and construction of residential developments and sustainability will be interested and will enjoy hearing about this challenging work.
