THE Cement Gun Apparatus had a rather curious origin. It was invented in America between 25 and 30 years ago, as the result of some experiments made by Mr. Carl Akeley, a big-game hunter, in forming the mounts for his trophies. Dr. OSCAR FABER, commenting on his criticisms in the paper of concrete floors, said that they were by no means intended to be a general condemnation of concrete floors; they had reference only to the use of reinforced concrete for certain specific purposes. He disclaimed any intention to condemn concrete floors generally.
