THE Cement Gun Apparatus had a rather curious origin. It was invented in America between 25 and 30 years ago, as the result of some experiments made by Mr. Carl Akeley, a big-game hunter, in forming the mounts for his trophies. The carcases were
formed by spraying plaster of paris on to an expanded metal frame of the required shape.
