MR. HARRY JACKSON, proposing a vote of thanks to the authors, said that the Institution was greatly indebted to them for putting forward a paper which might hit upon the essentials for which our fellow countrymen 100 years hence would thank them.
MY first duty is to thank the members electing me to the highest position in the Institution. These are difficult times for the for all organisations such as ours and it will be difficult for me to give the time necessary to carry out all the duties devolving upon me, but, as I told the members when I succeeded to the Chair, I shall do my best.
