IT is to be hoped that the article contributed by Messrs. Sutton and Kerrich in the May issue of the “Structural Engineer” will be warmly welcomed, not only by designing structural engineers, but by all who work with reinforced concrete.
THE primary object of this short paper is to create a discussion on certain aspects of
some simple problems in structural engineering, therefore I claim your indulgence if, in order to arouse interest, some of my remarks may be presented in a slightly contentious manner.
