The following Data Notes have been contributed by Mr. J.J. Leeming. It is felt that they may be found useful by other members, some of whom may also have compiled similar notes of their own. Members who have such data notes which they would like to contribute to these pages are invited to submit them to the Literature Committee, who will be pleased to consider them for publication.

1) Short History Since the year 1933 the Dutch Government in common with the City of Rotterdam realised that the existing links between both shores of the New Maas” at Rotterdam were insufficient for a traffic of up to 21,000 vehicles and 78,000 cyclists per day (the figures referring to the Williams Bridge in 1939) as well as 18,000 pedestrians.
