Foundations in Combustible Material

An Ordinary Meeting of the Institution of Structural Engineers was held at 11, Upper Belgrave Street, London, S.W.1, on Thursday, 30th September, 1943.

My attention has been drawn to the Obituary notice on Mr. Bylander that appeared in the November issue of the Journal, and it was with deep regret that I learned of his death, as my father* had impressed on me that Mr. Bylander was one of the foremost engineers in this country.
