I wish to thank the members of the Institution most sincerely for the honour they have conferred on me in electing me President for the coming year. I am deeply sensible of the honour and responsibility of presiding over this vigorous Institution of over 6,000 members and while I am very conscious of my many shortcomings, I am also fully aware that I shall receive the unstinted support of your Council, the Secretary and the staff of the Institution.
