Prestressed Concrete Bridges and other Structures

I wish to thank the members of the Institution most sincerely for the honour they have conferred on me in electing me President for the coming year. I am deeply sensible of the honour and responsibility of presiding over this vigorous Institution of over 6,000 members and while I am very conscious of my many shortcomings, I am also fully aware that I shall receive the unstinted support of your Council, the Secretary and the staff of the Institution. During my term as President it will be my constant endeavour to further the aims and objects of the Institution as set out in our Charter. E. Granter
