Kerensky, OA
The Structural Engineer, Volume 37, Issue 7, 1959
The PRESIDENT thanked the authors for their paper. Welding, he said, was a process which had developed rapidly in recent years and we were still learning a lot about it; this paper was of the kind which would bring out the arguments, for and against, which had been in our minds for many years. On behalf of the Institution he proposed a very hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Palmer and Mr. Fowler.
MR. S. M. REISSER (Member) observed that Mr. Kerensky had mentioned that the bridge cables consisting of 70 ton yield steel were welded, and he wondered how this was done in view of the type of steel used.
