This paper describes the planning and construction of the various buildings and structures forming the steelworking facilities backing up the shipbuilding operations in the new shipbuilding dock at the famous Harland and Wolffs shipyard on Queen's Island,..Belfast. A general description of the various production Operations is given throughout the text. The design conception and the solutions adopted for the vast new buildings is discussed, and a description of the main construction and erection methods is given. W.G.N.
