Mr P. A. Rutter (F) (Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick & Partners): I would like to compliment the authors on a very interesting paper, an interest which is generated by giving a clear insight into the development of the scheme from its inception. Often we are blessed, within our journal, with papers which are erudite, but this type of paper also excites the imagination. To be taken through the concept and led to the solution is entertaining, as well as instructive.
An Extraordinary General Meeting of Members will be held on 25 May 1989 to consider the following Resolution: That the Rules in the terms set out below be approved and adopted as the Rules of the Institution of Structural Engineers Benevolent Fund.
