To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day, the IStructE UAE Regional Group hosted a vibrant and empowering breakfast event, bringing together women engineers from across the region for a morning of connection, reflection, and inspiration.
The event featured a guided discussion around the book How Women Rise. Attendees explored the 12 habits that can hold women back in their careers, sharing personal insights and experiences in a supportive and collaborative environment. The session encouraged open dialogue, self-awareness, and collective learning. The discussion was followed by an experience share from a recently chartered member and working mom, on passing the chartership exam as well as a presentation on women representation and contribution to the institution.
The morning was not only a celebration of women in engineering but also a powerful reminder of the importance of community, mentorship, and professional growth. The event highlighted IStructE UAE’s commitment to fostering diversity, inclusion, and leadership within the engineering profession.
