A discussion of culture and practice in design relating to material efficiency.

This lecture presents the findings of a survey of structural engineering practitioners examining culture and practice in design relating to material efficiency. The survey was undertaken as part of the Minimising Energy in Construction (MEICON) research project.

Speakers 

Dr John Orr is an EPSRC Early Career Fellow and University Lecturer in Concrete Structures at the University of Cambridge.

Chris Wise is Senior Director at Expedition Engineering and Chair of the Useful Simple Trust.
