Speakers

Civil and Structural Engineer

Gary has been a long serving member of his local IStructE Committee, holding the roles of Treasurer and Chairman at different times and acting as a Reviewer and PRI Co-Ordinator since 2002. He has also served on the Applications and Professional Review Panel and Membership Committee at IStructE HQ, and was responsible for chairing a Task Group on the IPD process in the past, helping to steer improvements to the process and associated guidance. In his professional life Gary has worked as a Technical Director for RPS, before joining the board of directors of an SME consultancy. He currently works for SDC Builders as a Civil and Structural Consultant.

Senior Structural Engineer

Colin is a Senior Structural Engineer working in Torbay Council’s Engineering office. He has over 20 years of experience on its structural engineering portfolio, including new build, inspection, repair, and maintenance of harbour structures, coastal defences, highway bridges and retaining walls, multi storey car parks, and numerous other authority assets. He has undertaken many IStructE PRI reviews including the role of Lead Reviewer over a period of several years

Senior Divisional Director

Susan is a Senior Divisional Director at Jacobs, a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers, and the Fellow of Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation. She is an active member of both Institutions contributing to Councils, Committees and Panels. Susan has been serving as a Professional Review Interview (PRI) reviewer for Chartered Engineer (CEng) candidates with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) for the past several years.
