The IStructE London Young Members Group is delighted to announce that Grab-a-Grad is coming to London South Bank University!
Join us for an informative and engaging evening focused on career development, professional networking and insight into the structural engineering profession.
The event will feature presentations from three to four structural engineers at different stages of their careers, including graduate, experienced and chartered engineers. Each speaker will share their career journey, professional experiences, current projects and motivations for pursuing a career in structural engineering.
Through a series of project presentations, speakers will highlight the breadth and diversity of work undertaken within the profession. They will discuss the challenges encountered on their projects, the approaches taken to address them, and the solutions developed. This will provide attendees with a valuable insight into the range of projects, responsibilities and working environments available within structural engineering.
The evening will begin with 20–30 minutes of informal networking, accompanied by light refreshments. This will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet the speakers, connect with fellow professionals and students, and establish new contacts in a relaxed environment.
The presentations will run for approximately one hour, allowing each speaker sufficient time to discuss their career, experiences and projects in detail.
The evening will conclude with a joint Q&A session, providing attendees with the opportunity to ask questions, explore topics raised during the presentations and gain further insight into the speakers’ professional experiences.
