We support our members and promote structural engineering in Scotland.

Overview

If you live or work in Scotland you can contact us with any questions about IStructE membership or structural engineering in general.

Previously, there were two Regional Groups, Scotland and Aberdeen and Offshore.  Under the Structured for Success initiative these groups have come together as one new Scotland Regional Group.  Both groups still exist as localised hubs, but the Institution believes that this initiative will help to grow the membership and increase the interaction between HQ, the Regional Group and our members.

Hubs within the region

The Regional Group is made up of two hubs, Scotland and Aberdeen and Offshore.  Both will still act as a localised hubs, and you can find the link to those below.

Activities/events

Regional Group events will focus on activities that can reach across the entire region, where as the focus for hub activities is likely to be primarily social and societal activities that bring members together in a way and for a purpose that cannot be easily achieved in a larger regional context.

You can find a list of upcoming events across the region at the bottom of the page.  Please do visit the website regularly, as new events and news will be added throughout the year.
