SIR,-MY reply to Mr. Wollaston’s letter in the current issue of The Structural Engineer, is to suggest that a careful reading of my article in the January number will convince Mr. Wollaston that there is no indication of a practical illustration of the concept in dynamics of “mass without weight,” as the derivation of the formulae clearly shows that the whole of the vertical loads are balanced by the upward reaction.
