About the Climate Emergency Task Group

The Climate Emergency Task Group (CETG) was set up by the Institution in October 2019, recognising the need to respond proactively to the climate emergency. It comprises a focussed group of members working with both the Institution’s committees and panels, as well as with other external groups, to ensure a coordinated response to the climate emergency. The CETG is guiding changes needed in the profession, and reports directly to the Institution’s executive via the Engineering Leadership Group.
