EEFIT Mission report: Algarrobo, Chile

This report describes:

• The area affected by the earthquake, including the topogragy, geology and tectonics
• The seismological aspects, including strong motion records and intensity
• The response of structures to the earthquake, including regulations, concrete, blockwork and wooden housing, steel frame structures, roads, bridges, docks, etc.

The conclusions detail lessons learnt from previous earthquakes implications for future great earthquakes in Chile.
