The Midland Counties Regional Group's two day hybrid exam preparation course for IStructE Membership exam.

This hybrid comprehensive two-day course is designed to prepare you for IStructE’s Chartered Membership exam, enabling you to approach it with confidence.

To attempt the examination, you will already be a competent structural engineer, making an active contribution to your place of practice. Therefore, this course does not intend to instruct you in the art of being an engineer but rather guide you in the techniques and tips that will help you successfully approach the examination.

This course will be conducted according to the requirements of the new Chartered Membership exam format, which was introduced in January 2024 and will be run by IStructE Midlands Regional Group (MCRG).

Learning outcome

By the end of the course, you should be able to:

  • Plan your own preparation for the exam

  • Recognise what is required to pass each element of the exam
  • Formulate distinct and viable solutions to exam questions
  • Employ conceptual tools to develop efficient solutions to each section of exam question.

Intended for

  • Graduate engineer
  • Mid-career engineer
