The IStructE London Young Members Group is delighted to bring Grab-a-Grad to University College London!
Join us for an engaging evening of career insights, professional networking and exploration of the diverse opportunities within structural engineering.
The event will feature three to four structural engineers at different stages of their careers, from graduates to experienced and chartered professionals. Each speaker will share their career journey, experiences, current projects and what inspires them to work in structural engineering.
Through a series of project presentations, you’ll discover the variety of work within the profession, hear about real-world challenges and the innovative solutions used to overcome them, and gain a better understanding of the roles, responsibilities and career paths available to structural engineers.
The evening will begin with 20–30 minutes of informal networking and light refreshments, giving you the chance to meet the speakers, connect with fellow students and professionals, and build valuable relationships in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
This will be followed by approximately one hour of presentations, with each speaker sharing insights into their professional experiences and projects. The event will conclude with a joint Q&A session, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, explore topics in greater depth and learn directly from our speakers.
